Surgical Lights are medical equipment that facilitates the lighting of the operative field and have always been designed to limit the projection of shadows within the operative field especially during procedures. In order to provide maximum visibility to the surgeon during the course of surgery, and therefore the technology enhances the safety of the surgery procedure. That is why surgical lights are designed to be shadowless for the following reasons:
1. Eliminate shadows: To overcome this problem, several sources of light radiate from various directions and add their sources to form a concentrated angle to minimize the shadow effects from doctors and instruments over the surgical area.
2. Improve precision: Constant and intense illumination enables the doctor to well perceive the details of tissue structure, vessels and so forth, making surgical operations more accurate.
3. Reduce fatigue: Soft and uniform light reduces visual fatigue, allowing the doctor to stay focused for a long time.
4. Adapt to complex environment: When using multi-angle illumination, many directions are suitable for deep cavity surgery or for multi-angle operation.
5. Enhance safety: Anti-glare function on top, the brightness of light can also be adjusted depending on the requirements of the surgery.
In general, shadowless lamps consist of a number of LED or halogen lights positioned circularly or in a matrix. The light sources are installed to be cross illuminated to another so that the two source can support each other and furthermore, the interior uses highly reflective material and adjustable brightness design to prevent shadow that is caused by a single light source. Designing to be lit uniformly and clearly with heat dissipation and aseptic look so as to reflect the accuracy and safety of the operations done in surgeries.
